Sod it, not important-- Me mate says he saw that dark-haired fella there as a footman...• I heard it said, he's the Arbiter of Gleaner Affairs for the Valtin Institute. That Sharlayan group up in Ishgard. Aye... he dabbles at the wicked sciences. Magitek with that Mhigan Woman, Elize. Rumour has it he helped make those strange white-haired women who run about there, the ones with the puppet like movements. Uncanny things. Mammets with skin, what sort of vile sorcery do those Sharlayans get up to?• The fellow seems to know quite a lot of people. Scuttlebutt has it that he's got his hands deep in the Underworld pockets...• You know, I always thought it was funny how he seemed to know his way around Magitek. If I didn't know any better, I'd think he's from Garlemald. He has a metal arm. A metal arm...• This man gets around. I mean, he really gets around-- every day, different girl. He has to be a player, right? Real low down sort.• Captain Bjornsson? I served under him in the Contingent a few moons ago. 2nd Recon, 4th Platoon. We were a mixed unit-- ah-- I, really shouldn't talk about what we were doing. But if he asked us to walk into hell and back I would.
